Been a while since I posted. Don't know who reads this anyway, who am I apologizing to?
Anyways, the Rusty Pickle Idea book finally got printed. I had lots of projects in the book, it was fun to see all of them. I already mailed Mom her copy, I signed it and everything..."To Mom, with Love, xoxo, Laura" because she thinks I'm famous. All the neighbors in her little farming community of 12 will see it with the proud gleeming smile of a loving mother.
Boston asked on Saturday (while strapped into his car seat and sipping on a juice box),
"Mom, can I have a TV in my room". hmmm, wasn't ready for that question. I thought I had a few more years . I guess there must be some cartoon that he and his beta fish need the utmost privacy while watching. He's 3, why would he need a tv in his room?
I hate breaking his heart so I said, "I don't think so, but if you really want it, we can talk to Dad about it". That's my token answer when I don't want to be the bad guy but know he won't ever bring it up again anyways.
Randy and I were watching the Lord of The Rings, all three and all last week. It's our standby movie that gets put on the tube when nothing much is going on, that or the Aliens 4 set. We both really get into them. Anyways, he brought up about Arogan (sp?) in the second movie, just running for 3 days with his hot elf and that dwarf to catch the hobbits taken by those nasty, nasty orakai (once again, sp?). Anyways, he made the comment that the first time he read the book, he thought that part was boring but since then he has come to the conclusion it is actually a quite heroic portion of the tale as he just kept on, kept running, kept going. He really saw something extraordinary, as you will, about the undying pursuit. I felt I could relate and said, "that's how I am around this messy house, always cleaning, never giving up". I think for once we really saw eye to eye. xoxo honey.
