Boston was so excited about Halloween and since it's over, he keeps asking about Christmas and the "big train" that he is convinced Santa will bestow on him. He finds pennies around the house or outside and he puts them in his "piggy bag" because he's saving for a "ticket on da polaw expwress" .
We did manage to take out a small bank loan to get tickets for the family to ride the Polar Express just a few days before Christmas this year. For our $100, we get a cup of hot chocolate and a glimpse of Santa on one of the cars. I'll be the Mom shoving my way through the crowded isles, hopping train cars in hot pursuit of the man in red so my little train enthusiast can whisper in Santa's ear that he, of course, needs another train. I figured it will be worth it, he's only little for a short while and I need pictures.
The house is a mess, I scrapbooked my way through all of Sunday and most of Saturday. When I do that, I'm doing good if the dishes get done and some food like substance gets thrown in the microwave.
My dear friend Trisha came over on Saturday and we laid around and just talked. I love friends like that, the ones that are like family and that love to listen to your stories and then share thiers. Makes life better. Boston loves her. She is the only person that he wants to call on the phone and invite over (frequently).
Boston's new favorite food is a "gatia" which is toddler talk for tortilla. He is trying to convince me that it actually is protien and further that half a "gatia" is enough to sustain him for a week. hmmm.
I don't know how it came up, but this weekend, I ended up explaining what angels were to him and after giving, what I thought, was a great description, his conclusion was, "a mommy in the sky". not bad, I might use it myself.
