My mother asked me to work on a photo of my grandmother, we called her Nanny, that was very worn and tattered (as you can see!).
My Grandmother passed away when I was 10, so all the photos we have of her, especially the ones of her youthful years, are dear to us.
All my memories of Nanny are very sweet. My younger sister Allison and I went over often for sleepovers. She was a huge Wheel of Fortune fan and we would lay on the sofa bed after a long day of playing in the sun and help her guess the answers. No one was as fast or as good as she was at getting it right.
She grew a big, beautiful garden and I remember picking warm tomatoes and eating them right out of the garden in the summer months.
I also remember she hid money all over the house: under books, in pockets, inside the china cabinet in between plates. Often, I remember finding "big dollars" tucked in between this and that and would just put it back, because it was just a part of her.
The repair on the photo was more than I currently know how to do, so when Randy's mom moved in and mentioned she knew Photoshop, I asked her to give it a whirl. I am so happy with the results. Mom's gonna be happy too.
