water wings

We went swimming the other day at my girlfriend's pool. Soooooo fun.
Ok, so the wings were totally necessary cuz he can't swim but holy cow, they are funny.
He was totally into the goggles.
He told my friend's little boy to "watch close" cuz he was "super brave and about to put his eyes in the water". Right about then Boston and I look over at the little boy and he was swimming in the deep end.
hmmmm, I guess I have some work to do in the water with my little guy.

Other items that are noteworthy:

I got my bushes trimmed up tonight, sorry I don't have a before and after but the new bushwacker from Sears really did the trick.

I'm off this weekend to take some family photos for one of my dearest girlfriends. I'm renting a wide angle lens and will report on the results. It's an out of state wedding, so I'm excited to get away for the weekend.

The dog's nose has sufficiently healed. Our collie, Sasha, has become highly sensitive to the sun and required a trip to the vet a few weeks ago. She's all betta now.

I'm reading some new books, I'll link with full reviews as soon as I'm done.

Husband and I are going strong, approaching 8 years on the marriage meter. Our anniversary
is the 31st of this month. He always remembers my birthday and our anniversary, he's good that way.

And the last scrapbooking page I did was this little ditty:
