So here's the set up;
We're in Costco, buying milk and bread and I'm happy that I finally have some caffeine coursing through my veins. In my giddy state, I begin singing. I think I was singing a Beyonce song, because she's cool. I've even got a slight hip hop vibe in my step. One must carefully control a slight hip hop step while out in public, as to not draw too much attention to yourself. I was monitoring mine closely.
I'm on a high pitch section of the song, anticipating my big upcoming vocal release when Boston says, "Mommy, pleeeeeease don't sing to me".
ok, maybe he's not a Beyonce fan.
me, "Is there another song you want me to sing?"
Boston, "no"
me, "why"
Boston, "it's bad"
me, "my singing?"
Boston, "yes, please don't do it"
There ya have it.
This brings me back to the time when Boston was learning to talk and had just started forming short, two word sentences. One of the first things he said upon seeing my famous song and dance routine (again) was, "not funny". I wondered how long he had wanted to say that.
oh the torture he must endure.
