For Keeps

When you adopt a child, they are placed in your custody right away but the finalization process takes months to complete. Only after all the necessary paperwork is complete and you have waited the mandatory length of time, does the court issue an order stating the child is legally yours and the birth certificate is changed. You know it's gonna happen but until it does, it has a tendency to cause some worry, even at the slightest level.

I am happy to report that Quinton's adoption was finalized last week.

So now, Quinton is just as much our son as Boston and our little family is complete.
Boston is happy, he has the brother he wanted and they are fast friends. I'm glad they have each other.

We had a joint celebration as Randy turned 43 last Sunday. Carrot cake for everyone.

Happy times over here. Now all we need is a baby girl. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
