Started Painting

This summer, I took a painting class.
I've always wanted to paint and never found a good reason to learn. This year, turning 35 was good enough for me.
The class was online and taught by an amazing artist, Paulette Insall.
Go check out her work, you will love it. She teaches several times a year. If you've ever wanted to start painting, go sign up!
She makes it seem so simple and so do-able, that I loved the class and highly recommend it.

You can see some of my journey here.

Here are the 3 paintings I completed:

I'm happy with the results, especially when I consider that earlier this summer, I did not even know how to prepare a canvas. There are some rough spots, but I'll hopefully work 'em out with time and practice.

You can see some of the work done by fellow students in the class here.

I could sit and paint all day but alas, the dishes and the babies call to me.

I had been looking for something new and interesting that I can learn and look forward to and I think I've found it.

Love them, Laura!
I mean it!
Are you going to Etsy them, or do that art show?

Maybe we found a new friday night hobby there...

These are all terrific! They remind me of the work of the mexican artist, Frida Kahlo!
